Anti-aging dentistry: a younger face starts with the bite

Worn, shortened teeth let the lower face collapse, deepening lines and aging the profile. Restoring tooth length and bite height supports the face from within.

How teeth age the face

Every year of grinding and chewing shortens teeth slightly. Over decades that lost height lets the chin rotate closer to the nose, lips lose support, and the corners of the mouth turn down. No cream reaches that layer: the change is dental, not skin-deep.

Anti-aging dentistry rebuilds worn teeth to their earlier proportions with crowns, veneers and onlays, restoring the vertical dimension the face was built around. The effect lands where fillers cannot reach: the frame that supports lips and cheeks.

A medical approach, not a cosmetic gimmick

This is bite reconstruction guided by prosthodontic diagnosis: study models, photos and bite analysis before any drilling. Function comes first — comfortable chewing, less muscular strain — and the aesthetic lift follows from it.

Dr. Aguilar combines his prosthodontics residency with AACD cosmetic standards, so the result reads as rejuvenation rather than obvious dental work. Results vary by patient, and the plan always starts with diagnosis.

Is this treatment right for you?

Candidacy depends on clinical evaluation. X-rays or a CBCT scan may be needed before a final plan.

Often a good fit

  • Visibly shortened or flattened front teeth
  • Deepening lines around the mouth with a "collapsed" lower face
  • Chipping edges, worn enamel or a tired-looking smile
  • Wanting rejuvenation that does not depend on repeated injectables

Needs closer evaluation

  • Active grinding, managed with a night guard as part of the plan
  • Jaw joint (TMJ) symptoms that need evaluation before bite changes
  • Gum disease or decay, treated before aesthetic work
  • Cases needing orthodontics first for stable results

Common questions

What is anti-aging dentistry?

It is restorative dentistry that rebuilds worn teeth and lost bite height, restoring support for the lips and lower face. The rejuvenating effect comes from structure, not from skin treatments or fillers.

How is it different from veneers alone?

Veneers treat the visible surface of front teeth. Anti-aging dentistry treats the whole bite when wear has shortened it, often combining crowns, onlays and veneers so the new tooth length is stable and comfortable.

How long does treatment take?

Many cases complete in one visit of 7 to 14 days, depending on how many teeth need restoration. Complex reconstructions may need a second visit, confirmed at evaluation.

Will the results look natural?

The design restores proportions your face already had before wear, previewed with a mock-up before treatment. Most patients read as rested and younger rather than "worked on". Results vary by patient.
